September updates from The Dog Coaches

Hello!

Another busy month for us both, mostly because we both went on holiday! Bec jetted off to Portugal at the beginning of the month, and Sam went to Greece last week. But that hasnt stopped us from seeing lots of dogs.

Classes:

Sam has been running two puppy classes at The Beehive Centre this month. You might have seen on our socials how beautifully the puppies are settling.

In fact, Pickle got so relaxed she actually fell asleep!

We are running group classes all the way up until Christmas and will be releasing dates for the new year soon.

Whats coming up in October:

Are you Halloween ready? Spooky season means the doorbell will be ringing more than usual, with plenty of strangers at the door.

For some dogs, the doorbell ringing is already stressful—even without a trick-or-treater standing there! Do they bark, rush out, or find it overwhelming?

We cover doorway training in our 6 months+ group classes, and we can also support you with this in a one-to-one session. Drop us an email if you’d like more details.

Training challenge

We’re excited to start sharing a new training challenge each month—to give you fresh ideas, keep you motivated, and help your dog learn new skills.

This month’s challenge: practice your sit and stay

To stay on theme, if you’re heading to a pumpkin patch or carving your own pumpkins at home, why not involve your dog? Take a cute photo of them with the pumpkins and tag us on Instagram or Facebook—we’d love to see them!

Dog of the month:

Our dog of the month is Indie, who we first met while working with BARC. His new adopters booked a one-to-one with us, and it was wonderful to see him again and watch how well he’s settling into his new home.

We worked mostly on his mouthing, which comes out when he gets a little frustrated. Indie is a fast learner, and it’s been so rewarding to see how quickly he’s adjusted to family life.

Extras:

Our Booster Club is nearly ready to launch, and we already have a few names on the list! If you’d like to join, email us to register your interest. To find out more, head over to our website.
